Walking with God
Hi! I hope you’re having a great day today. Life is good.
God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey Him and the power to do what pleases Him. ~ Philippians 2:13
I have the desire to be aware of my God’s presence guiding me into and through every day, leading me into a better ‘me’ – holy, as a child of God should be; because I know just how brief life can be. I am walking a terminal trail with my illness; BUT, we are all in a terminal state, whether we’re aware of it or not. You see, we’re all ‘human’. We have an expiration date! We just don’t know when we will expire. So it’s easy to ignore, to convince oneself that we have plenty of time to accept Christ as our Savior, to dedicate our life to living God’s way and behave like a Christian, like a child of God, to be obedient to God, and to share Him with those who need Him so desperately. But guess what! A life can end in one’s sleep, or suddenly, in the blink of an eye as two cars collide, or as quickly as a fall or an aneurysm, all without warning as my seventeen year old brother’s did when he collided with a train, and my six year old grandaughter in her sleep. It is not just the elderly or ill. I’ve seen three of my children fight cancer, one is still in battle. We don’t know the future, even today’s. That is God’s department. That is why We CAN trust Him with our future. Nothing will take God unaware or unprepared.
We are in the best hands possible! This should give us a desire to live for Him, get to know Him better, to trust Him, to obey Him, to love Him deeper. Praise God you children of His! God is working in and through you! Now, let Him take you on a most wonderful journey – Living for Him, and walking with Him. He will help you. Listen:
I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand. ~ Psalm 16:11
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, O Lord. ~ Psalm 89:15
Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way. ~ Proverbs 4:13-15
Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil. ~ Proverbs 4:25-27
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17
